This collection of wraps took its name from observing the organic openings of the lotus root in cross section. The method I devised for the multi-colored versions—a gradation of several colors from dark to light—proved to be very labor intensive, yet rewarding. The subtle beaded edge further enhances the texture of these versatile wraps.
